The Value of Connecting In-Person

I’d like to thank the Private Equity partners and associates who welcomed me and my team on our recent whirlwind trip to Chicago. We met with a couple of our existing Private Equity clients, as well as several that we’ve wanted to learn more about.

Along with Rebecca Miller (the Vice President of Sales for our MB Interim Leaders practice) and Rob Gross (an Associate Consultant within our Executive Search practice), I had the privilege to meet many new people at firms such as Adam Street Partners, Frontenac, Ares Management, GTCR, SilverOaks Partners, Wind Point Partners, Svoboda Capital, and McNally Capital, LLC.

As executives operating within a technological world, we oftentimes forget the importance of face-to-face connection. Our Private Equity practice serves PE-sponsored companies – sharing our story in-person with a variety of dynamic firms was much more valuable than making a call, sending a mailer, or shooting-off an email. We even squeezed-in a Cubs game and some deep dish!

Chicago is a great city, and its people make it one of the best destinations in the country. I’m looking forward to staying in touch with everyone that we connected with, and to making a return visit in the near future!
