I spent my formative years in the suburbs of central New Jersey and my family relocated to California right when I was heading off to UCLA. I survived some really big 80’s perms and mangled the Valley Girl lexicon with my totally rad New Jersey accent! I think this bi-coastal upbringing is reflected in my life and personality. I’m often sarcastic, quite animated, and pretty direct, while keeping a balanced Four Agreements perspective and an optimistic “life’s an adventure” philosophy.
I’m the oldest of five children and, at last count, I have 13 nieces and nephews. I play the piano, once sang back-up for Barry Manilow, and played Maria in West Side Story. I’d like to believe I make geek chic and I love everything from Scrabble and science to Jeopardy and artisanal jewelry-making.
I love traveling and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. Some highlights have been hanging with rhinos and lions on safari in South Africa, swimming with sharks in Hawaii, power hang gliding to 4,000 feet, and going off the grid to fish in Alaska. I’m also an equal opportunity foodie – from taco trucks to Michelin-starred restaurants and wine lover (especially rich reds).
