The Opportunity

McDermott & Bull offers its consultants full reign to develop their own client list and practice, with the support of the company and its resources backing them up. Our consultants are able to spend most of their time developing and improving client relationships, and are able to utilize the McDermott & Bull research and recruiting team to conduct the initial candidate identification and screening process. Contrary to many executive search firms, McDermott & Bull believes that the process of identifying candidates can be streamlined by utilizing a research and recruiting team that focuses on this part of the process, leaving the consultant with more time to work with final candidates and assist their clients in building out their competitive teams. We fully believe that the best performing companies are made up of individuals that bring the right skill and experience, but more importantly, the right cultural compatibility to the team.

The successful consultant will identify with and enjoy performing the following functions:

  • Maintain consultative relationships with high-level executives.
  • Maintain client communication, work closely with industry associations and referral networks to consistently identify the top talent in various industries.
  • Become a recognized expert and leader in a particular industry, and sought after to perform significant search assignments for well-known clients.
  • Develop and maintain highly-valued client relationships at the senior executive levels that generate fees in the six figures annually.

Senior Executive Recruiter

McDermott & Bull Executive Search is looking to add a Senior Recruiter who will partner with our Search Consultants to play a critical role in the executive search process.


  • Partner directly with Search Consultants to execute the entire recruitment process
  • Devise and lead a targeted research strategy
  • Track and identify prospective candidates using a variety of channels
  • Conduct confidential interviews
  • Present shortlisted candidates and provide detailed candidate summaries

Desired Skills and Requirements

  • 3 or more years of professional recruiting experience in an agency or corporate environment
  • Self-motivated and goal driven
  • Adaptable and able to build rapport quickly
  • Proven track record of success in attaining goals
  • Highly organized and efficient
